The Falls in Motion

A scroll through Niagara.

About the Falls

3,160 tons
a second.

Niagara Falls is the highest-flow waterfall in North America. The Horseshoe alone moves 168,000 m³ of water per minute. The mist climbs a hundred and fifty feet into the air. From the deck of the Maid of the Mist you don’t just see it — you feel it on your face.

We’ve been running Niagara tours since 1998 — day trips, overnights, illumination tours, jetboat rides, airport transfers. Whatever angle you want on the falls, we have a way in.

Niagara Falls illuminated at night

After dark

The falls
at night
are a different falls.

Every evening at dusk, the cataract is lit by 1,400 LED beacons cycling through emerald, gold, ruby, and cobalt. From mid-November through January, the Festival of Lights drapes another two million bulbs across the gorge. It is the most New York thing you can do that isn’t in New York City.

The Three Cataracts

Horseshoe.
American.
Bridal Veil.

The American and Bridal Veil falls drop 70–110 feet into a pile of dolomite boulders called the Talus. The Horseshoe drops 167 feet in a 2,200-foot wide arc into the Maid of the Mist Pool.

The state park — the oldest in the United States, designated 1885 — gives you walking access to all three. Goat Island puts you between the American and the Horseshoe; Terrapin Point puts you yards from the brink of the Horseshoe itself.

  • Cave of the Winds (seasonal)
  • Three Sisters Islands

Need to Know

Frequently asked

Does "Maid of the Mist" come included?

Many of our tours include the Maid of the Mist boat ride or offer it as an optional upgrade — including the Day Trip by Air, the USA Guided Tour, and the Night Illumination tour. The Maid runs late April through early November, weather permitting.

Can I do Niagara Falls as a day trip from New York City?

Yes — our Day Trip by Air does it in twelve hours. A 90-minute flight to Buffalo, a private coach to the falls, the Maid of the Mist or Cave of the Winds, lunch on the gorge, and you're back at your NYC hotel by evening.

What's the difference between USA side and Canadian side?

USA side gives you the closest, most up-close access — Cave of the Winds gets you within yards of the cataract. Canadian side gives the iconic postcard panorama of the Horseshoe Falls. Most of our tours focus on the USA side; ask about combo passport options.

When is the night illumination?

Year-round — the falls are illuminated every evening from dusk until 11 pm or midnight depending on the season. The Festival of Lights (mid-November through early January) layers a holiday light show across the gorge.

Is there a tour for adventure-seekers?

The USA Side + Whirlpool Jet pairs the falls walk with a full-throttle Class V rapids ride on the Lower Niagara. You will get soaked. That is the point.

Do you offer airport transfers?

Yes — both shared-shuttle and private transfers between Buffalo Niagara Airport (BUF) and Niagara hotels on either side. Flight tracking included; we wait if you're delayed.
